Group Singing/Chanting Circle
Sunday, 3/4, 2-3 PM, Donations welcome.
We’ll gather together to sing simple, repetitive, multicultural songs and chants with the intention to find and free our voices, experience group harmony, and enjoy creative group flow. No previous experience is necessary. If you are feeling drawn to it, I’d love for you to come. Feel free to bring along percussion instruments to play.
Coming soon! Stay tuned!
A group exploration in drumming for drumming’s sake. Find your rhythm. Experience communal flow. We’ll simply create an experience together in the moment. No prior drumming experience is necessary. Bring a percussive instrument (drum, shaker, etc.) if you’d like. We will also have some to share.
“In many shamanic societies, if you came to a shaman or medicine person complaining of being disheartened, dispirited, or depressed, they would ask one of four questions. When did you stop dancing? When did you stop singing? When did you stop being enchanted by stories? When did you stop finding comfort in the sweet territory of silence? Where we have stopped dancing, singing, being enchanted by stories, or finding comfort in silence is where we have experienced the loss of soul. Dancing, singing, storytelling, and silence are the four universal healing salves.” -Angeles Arrien, author of The Four-Fold Way
